Andria McLamb

Cary Woman Arrested for Domestic Violence, Repeat Assault Charge in Wake County

Andria Jonelle McLamb, 30, of Cary, North Carolina, was arrested on February 23, 2025, at 12:00 a.m., by the Cary Police Department (CPD) on charges of misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and simple assault.

This marks McLamb’s second arrest on similar charges, following a March 16, 2024, incident at a nearby location on Halesworth Drive, where she was also charged with simple assault and domestic violence-related offenses.

Under North Carolina law (G.S. 14-32.5), a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence typically results in immediate arrest, possible protective orders, and restrictions on firearm possession. The simple assault charge (G.S. 14-33(A)) is classified as a Class 2 misdemeanor, carrying penalties of up to 60 days in jail, probation, and fines.

Given McLamb’s prior history, prosecutors may pursue stricter penalties, including extended probation or anger management programs. Domestic violence cases in Wake County are handled with heightened scrutiny, and repeat offenses often lead to stricter legal consequences.

McLamb’s case will proceed through the Wake County court system, where the circumstances of her latest arrest, potential victim impact, and any protective orders in place will be reviewed in determining the next legal steps.
