Savannah Coughlan

Florida Woman Arrested for DUI and Leaving the Scene of a Crash

On January 31, 2025, Savannah Leigh Coughlan, a 29-year-old Florida resident, was arrested on multiple charges related to a traffic incident. She was booked on DUI causing damage to property or another person with a $1,000 bond and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, which carried an additional $150 bond. Coughlan, who is 5’6″ tall and weighs 150 pounds, has blonde hair and blue eyes.

This is not her first legal encounter. In 2015, she was arrested for driving with a suspended license, a first-time offense under Florida Statute 322.34-2A, and was released on a $120 bond.

Under Florida law, DUI causing property damage or injury is a first-degree misdemeanor under Statute 316.193(3)(c)1, punishable by up to one year in jail, fines up to $1,000, and a mandatory driver’s license suspension. If additional aggravating factors are present, such as repeat offenses or serious injuries, penalties can escalate to a felony. Leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage is a second-degree misdemeanor under Statute 316.061, carrying up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.

Coughlan is expected to appear in court to address the charges. Florida law enforcement remains strict on DUI and hit-and-run offenses, emphasizing the risks they pose to public safety. Her prior history of driving with a suspended license may also factor into any legal proceedings.
