Tampa Woman Arrested for DUI, Released on Bond
On January 17, 2025, 21-year-old Chloe Lyn Vaillancourt, a resident of Tampa, Florida, was arrested by the Tampa Police Department for driving under the influence (DUI). The arrest occurred near Interstate 275 North and North Nebraska Avenue at 3:49 AM. Vaillancourt was booked into custody at 5:37 AM and released the same day at 2:28 PM on a $500 cash bond.
The charge of driving under the influence is classified as a second-degree misdemeanor (M2) under Florida law. First-time DUI offenses carry penalties including fines up to $1,000, jail time of up to six months, mandatory probation, and a driver’s license suspension of six to 12 months. Additionally, refusal to submit to a blood alcohol content (BAC) test, as noted in Vaillancourt’s case, can result in a separate license suspension and be used as evidence against the defendant in court.
Vaillancourt, who works as a hairdresser, is expected to appear in court to address the charge. Her case, registered under case number 25-CT-000924, will proceed in jurisdiction 14. Authorities in Tampa continue to emphasize the dangers of impaired driving and the importance of adhering to Florida’s DUI laws to protect public safety. This incident serves as a reminder of the legal and personal consequences of driving under the influence.
