Alexandria Seletos Arrested in Hillsborough County on Felony Drug Charges; Prior 2017 Arrest Included Kidnapping and Robbery
Alexandria Janelle Seletos, a 35-year-old Riverview resident, was arrested on August 5, 2025, by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop near the Selmon Express Lanes and South Falkenburg Road. She was booked into jail later that morning and released the same day at 4:57 p.m. after posting a surety bond totaling $5,000.
Seletos faces two third-degree felony charges: Possession of Cocaine and Possession of a Controlled Substance, both of which carry a maximum penalty of five years in prison, five years of probation, and a $5,000 fine per count under Florida law. The charges, tied to case number 25-CF-013694-A, stem from a probable cause arrest. According to the arrest report (HS2025817895), she was released without occupying a jail cell, and the matter remains pending in the 13th Judicial Circuit Court.
At the time of her arrest, Seletos was listed as a white female with green eyes and black hair, 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing 120 pounds. Her listed residence is on Creek Preserve Drive in Riverview, Florida. She reported working as a waitress at Westshore.
This is not Seletos’s first encounter with the criminal justice system. On February 23, 2017, at the age of 26, she was arrested by the Tampa Police Department and booked on three serious charges:
- Kidnapping to Commit a Felony (Florida Statute §787.01, classified as a first-degree felony),
- Robbery (under $300), a second-degree felony, and
- Providing False Information to Law Enforcement, a first-degree misdemeanor.
That earlier arrest, linked to case number 17CF002879, involved a bond of $25,000 for the kidnapping charge and $7,500 for the robbery, while the misdemeanor charge resulted in a release on recognizance. Seletos spent three days in custody before being released on February 25, 2017, again without being assigned to a jail cell. The charges arose from an incident on the same day as the arrest and were initially processed under warrant authority.
The combination of current felony drug charges and a prior case involving serious violent offenses could potentially factor into prosecutorial decisions or sentencing outcomes should there be a conviction. As always, Seletos is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
